    Striper Fishing

Striped Bass season opens on Oct. 11, 2003 for the Albemarle Sound and its tributaries. Daily limit of two fish per person on Wed., Fri., Sat., and Sun. We catch these fish in the Albemarle, Croatan and Pamlico sounds. Most of the fish average between 2 to 6 pounds. All of the fishing we do in the sounds is on light tackle. Casting and trolling are the preferred methods of catching these fish. Fish must be a minimum of 18 inches to be kept. Good numbers of fish are usually caught each trip.

Room rates are low and there are lots of fish to catch. Come join us at Full Moon Charters for some great light tackle striper fishing!!!

Ocean stripers will start to show up around the middle of December.

The season is open year round on the fish. Fish caught in the ocean this time of year range between 20 to 50 pounds. The minimum length is 28 inches. Two fish per person. We also cast and troll for these fish. Depending on where the fish are will determine how far we run, but I suggest a 6 hour trip.

Please feel free to contact us about either one of these trips.
